Another bright, clear morning. For a featured image I am posting a photo of three fledged Eastern Kingbirds who are perched away from the nest (but nicely grouped) to help the parents deliver delicious bugs. I caught a Common Grackle perched in the early morning sunshine which was popping its natural color. Also pictured is an Ornate Tree Lizard doing its best to look like a stump. Most exciting sighting of the day was a Lazuli Bunting but this guy would not wait for a photo. Some of the Wild Sunflowers are already shedding their petals and the Red-winged Blackbirds are checking out the heads for those tasty seeds.
