Please don’t think that the only birds I saw this morning were Redheaded Woodpeckers and American Kestrels. Those were the only birds who seemed interested in being on the Internet today. The bummer is that I have been seeing some really special birds who have, thus far, managed to keep their images off of my memory card. Over my past couple of outings I have seen Northern Mockingbirds working the prairie near the entrance to Rock Canyon. I even pulled over this morning to try for a capture – no luck. The other surprise for today was a Yellow-headed Blackbird who refused to fly over to my side of the Arkansas River for a photo session. I will keep after them you can be sure.
