Environment:
Start Time: 6:10 AM Temperature: 61 degrees Sky: Sun with less haze.
The air quality was vastly improved this morning at Lake Pueblo State Park. The sky actually had a blueish hue. There was even a little action to liven things up. The Cooper’s Hawk (juvenile) pictured here is also one of the two birds in the featured image (above), the other being a Barn Swallow. At first I thought the attacking bird was a Western Kingbird but that turned out to not be the case. Maybe the Kingbirds had called off this morning and the Swallow had to fill in. The Red-tailed Hawk mother and child were nowhere to be found but I did manage to capture shots of two of the three juvenile Great Horned Owls that I have been stalking for most of this year. One of them is pictured below. There was nothing really happening at the Osprey nest but only two of the young ones were present.
