Nothing but sunshine at Lake Pueblo State Park this morning. We started our short walk at 6:20 in a warmish 57 degree temperature. Practically no breeze to speak of and even though I was wearing only a single layer of clothing by the time I finished walking today I had worked up a bit of a sweat.

With ideal shooting conditions all around me I encountered very few photo opportunities. As far as casual birding goes – only a single Flicker presented himself as a target for my camera and he was none too close. I did run across another harbinger of Spring (or perhaps Summer) when I came across a clump of Colorado Four O’Clock wildflowers. Since they did not fly away at the sight of me I offer a photo of them as today’s featured picture above.
