Beautiful conditions today though maybe a little warm… see… I’m already complaining about the heat. My walk was quite pleasant though this was another unproductive photo outing. Maybe the birds are all working on their nests or chicks. I only saw one duck and it was flying by so I couldn’t get an ID. I did get a shot of a new bird. I thought it was some type of flycatcher but Google assures me that it is a Western Wood Pewee. So, today’s featured image is a poor photo of a Western Wood Pewee. To make amends for the serious lack of pictures in this post I have instead posted a new gallery celebrating Spring at Lake Pueblo State Park and you can view it here.

Sightings:
Birds: Canada Geese, Osprey, Starlings, Cormorants, Swallows, Barn Swallows, Western Kingbirds, Mourning Doves, Duck, Robins, Northern Flicker, Western Wood Pewee, Red-winged Blackbird
Critters: Prairie Dogs, Cabbage Butterfly

Gear: Nikon D5600, 55-300mm
