Terrific walking weather once again – maybe a bit warm. Lake Pueblo State Park is really greening up. The problem with that is it gives the birds great hiding places. I changed my route a little this morning so I would end up at the Osprey nest by the Swim Beach. Unfortunately no one was home. My only bird capture of the day is posted below – an American Bushtit. Usually these guys are so jumpy it is impossible to photograph them but this one apparently stopped to smell the roses. Today’s featured image (above) is the scene at the Anticline Fishing Pond that greeted me upon my arrival. Like I said – things are getting green.

Sightings:
Birds: Osprey, Starlings, Swallows, Barn Swallows, Western Kingbirds, Oriole, Mourning Doves, Mallards, Robins, American Bushtit, American Yellow Warbler
Critters: Prairie Dogs, Cabbage Butterflies

Gear: Nikon D5600, 55-300mm
