Environment:
Start Time: 6:40 AM Temperature: 58 degrees Sky: Clouds and Sun.
After some debate I finally decided to try a trip out to Lake Pueblo State Park. I had hopes that the Sun would overcome the blockages provided by many clouds – which it did – just as I was leaving. Even with the less than optimal light I managed to come home with some decent images. Pictured here is a Blue Grosbeak who was (I felt) also unhappy with the morning light. To brighten things up a Yellow Warbler zoomed into view and actually paused long enough for me to get a shot or two. I was surprised to see that the mother Great Horned Owl was still around keeping an eye on (at least) the two Owlets that I was able to locate. Number three was not around. Today’s featured image is a Western Meadowlark that I captured (shot from the driver’s seat of my car) as I was leaving for the day.
