House Wren at Lake Pueblo State Park, Colorado

No clouds this morning and very little wildfire haze. Another great day to go for a walk! And I was not alone in that feeling – today’s featured image (above) is that of a young Mule Deer Buck who decided it was a a great day for a walk across the Arkansas River. Just below is another fellow walker – a Desert Stink Beetle. But there were some birds about as well playing hard to get as always. One tiny little House Wren favored me with a split second pause and one of our Double Crested Cormorants was also taking it easy on a branch high above the river. I think I caught sight of an American Warbler but I’m not confident enough in that ID to list it in the Sightings box. Weather forecast for the rest of the week looks good so I’ll be back at it tomorrow.
