The string of great days continues. Today I was joined by a lot more other folks – lots of whom were fishing. But a few more birds than yesterday also joined the party. The big prize is today’s featured image of a Great Horned Owl who was perched in a cottonwood tree close to the trail along the Arkansas River. I was very happy to see an owl – I was starting to worry about them. Also Dark-eyed Juncos made an appearance along with a couple of Pied-billed Grebes one of whom is pictured below. Generally things are starting to look like Spring is getting ready to break out. The Osprey should be arriving soon.
