What had been advertised by the local weather forecasting professionals as a gloomy, snowy morning actually showed up as a brilliant, bright and sunny day. Even though it was a little chilly I suited up and headed out. Not many people were as brave as I but a few more birds were out enjoying the morning. All of today’s photos are cropped from long shots but the results are still quite viewable. The prize of the day is today’s featured image – an Eastern Bluebird. According to my bird book this bird is out of its normal range but maybe it got a good deal on AirBnB. The other less usual bird is the Barrow’s Goldeneye pictured below. He was busy diving in the Arkansas River with his lady friends. Also represented today is a Townsend’s Solitaire (who was very patient with me), a Northern Flicker and an American Coot whom I caught “reflecting” on the morning.
