A severe case of Cabin Fever forced me out to Lake Pueblo State Park this afternoon. The temperature was below what I have in the past considered walkable but I bundled up and headed out. There wasn’t a lot going on out there – only one person fishing on the fishing pond and I only counted three or four stalwarts on the Arkansas River. Most birds that I saw were keeping their distance as demonstrated by the Hawk pictured here. He was too far away to make even an educated guess as to the brand. I got a few shots of birds in flight – again quite high up. Today’s featured image is a group of Mule Deer (doe I think) who were patiently waiting for me to get out of the way so they could come off the prairie and head into the Cottonwoods to spend the night chewing on whatever they can find. It’s supposed to be warmer tomorrow.
