Environment:
Start Time: 7:35 AM Temperature: 37 degrees Sky: Sunshine.

Much more sunlight this morning but not so many birds. The good news – demonstrated in today’s featured image (above) – is that Wood Ducks are arriving for Spring duties. There was one other drake who was a little standoffish so it looks like this one hen is going to be dating heavily. Pictured here are a couple of shots of American Coots working the Arkansas River. The bottom of the two shows the water droplets splashing up from a quick diving Coot. I’m also going to track owl nest activity as things progress.
