Environment:
Start Time: 7:05 AM Temperature: 36 degrees Sky: Sunny.
Cloud free Sunny skies continue to rule. I managed to capture two Great Horned Owls this morning – one was easy (in its nest) the other (featured) was a surprise. This one was nestled into the tree branches pretty well. I did get a couple of Hawks – the Red-tailed picture here and another Cooper’s Hawk whose picture didn’t come out so well. There still isn’t much going on on the Arkansas River. Pied-billed Grebes, Canada Geese and American Coots pretty much rule the waves. The Osprey are still working on those nests.
