Another mellow morning out on the trail in Rock Canyon. Not many Osprey were flying around, none were fishing and I saw one breaking branches off of treetops. The Blue Jays and Wrens were probably the most active and the most vocal but the Jays had no interest in posing for Internet fame. The biggest news (for me) was my first Owl sighting of 2022. Today’s featured image (above) is a Great Horned Owl who was only slightly annoyed by my attention. Spring is slowly getting more colorful with numerous patches of Milkvetch (below) blooming this morning.
