I’m getting out earlier and earlier as Spring grinds toward Summer. We are only two months from hitting mid-2023. Crazy. Pictured here are two of Spring’s deliveries – a Western Kingbird and a Red-winged Blackbird. The Cooper’s Hawk nest was either not attended or mom or dad were doing a better job of not being seen. The Red-tailed Hawk nest did have an adult nearby – today’s featured image (above) and post closer (below). I did see my first set of Canada Goose goslings out on the Anticline Fishing Pond but the picture was not great. I’m sure we will be seeing more of the little guys.

Sightings:
Birds: Mallard, Wood Duck, Blue-winged Teal, Starlings, Ospreys, Canada Geese, Double Crested Cormorants, American Robins, Northern Flickers, Mourning Doves, Red-tailed Hawk, Red-winged Blackbirds, Wrens, Crows, Western Kingbird, Woodpeckers, Turkey Vultures, Blue Jay, Great Blue Herons
Critters: Ornate Tree Lizards, Tree Squirrels, Mule Deer
