Environment:
Start Time: 7:00 AM Temperature: 46 degrees Sky: Sunshine.
Warmer morning temperatures and ever earlier Sun rises are getting me out of bed and onto the trail with some regularity. Everyone seemed to be pretty busy today – except for the Red-tailed Hawk pictured here who was just catching some rays. The Tree Squirrel below paused to make himself invisible. The Starlings were flying all over the place as were the Bullock’s Orioles. I saw two Canada Goose families. Today’s featured image is one of those families with only one little one out on the Arkansas River. The other family was on the Anticline Fishing Pond with four youngsters that I could see. On Monday there were five goslings – hopefully number five was just busy somewhere else.
