Double Crested Cormorant at Lake Pueblo State Park, Colorado

A rather warm morning found me out on the trail early. I can’t say as much for the other members of the Animal Kingdom whom I was there to photograph. The busiest birds were the Starlings who looked to me to be carrying edibles which may mean there are hatchlings about. Or it may mean they prefer take-out. Today’s featured image is a White-tail Deer I spotted crossing the Arkansas River. The Double-crested Cormorant pictured here attracted my attention because of its coloring. I’m thinking this may be a juvenile.

Sightings:

Critters: Tree Squirrels, Mule Deer, White-tail Deer, Wood Louse, Red Ants, annoying flying bugs
