Environment:
Start Time: 8:05 AM Temperature: 48 degrees Sky: Sunshine with little breeze.
Another calm morning greeted me on the trail today. The sky was also much less hazy making for good air quality. The Bullock’s Orioles were pretty busy today. I also caught a couple of Canada Geese out on the Arkansas River (which is running high) with two little ones who seemed enthralled with the experience. Other river activity included another waterfowl altercation – this time a couple of Wood Duck drakes. Not sure what the problem was but I imagine a hen is involved. For today’s featured image I am happy to post a, rather large, baby Great Horned Owl. I looked around but did not spot either parent but I’m sure they were not far away.
