It’s been a week since my last post and not a lot has changed out on the trail. That is if you don’t count the amount of new foliage covering the trees. Things are really green. Most of the birds I saw today were keeping their distance. The Yellow-breasted Chat pictured here was well into the weeds (and hiding behind a stick) making for a so-so shot. The featured image is a Blue Jay deciding to launch into the air just as I snapped the shutter. He gets the featured slot due to the high action. Neither the Red-tailed Hawks nor the Cooper’s Hawks appear to have hatched yet – I was hoping the recent rain had helped the little ones grow.
