Another perfect morning on the trail at Lake Pueblo State Park today. The Arkansas River continues to rage which is, I’m sure, bumming out the ducks, cormorants and geese. Image captures today were almost exclusively of birds perching on bare branches. The featured image is a Bullock’s Oriole who was chirping up a storm from its perch by the trail. Pictured here is, what I assume to be, the same Mississippi Kite that I discovered last year perched on the same tree. Must have a Summer Cottage in the neighborhood. A little House Wren serenaded me for a little while. The mini-gallery below is a couple of shots of an American Kestrel apparently having a think.
