Mountain Daylight Time arrived today in fine style. Another great day for a walk by the Arkansas River. I was hoping the birds would feel the same – only flying. Unfortunately, the birds were not of the same mind – especially the bigger birds. No Osprey, Hawks or Eagles. As for the smaller birds it was mostly the usual suspects – Sparrows, Belted Kingfishers and Juncos. Happily I did manage to add a “new” bird to my personal sightings list as well as get an image of the little guy. Posted below is a Mountain Chickadee. A very active little bird and tough to shoot.

Sightings:
Birds: Gulls, Mallard Ducks, White-Crowned Sparrows, Sparrows, Mountain Chickadee, Western Grebe, Dark-Eyed Juncos, Belted Kingfisher, Flicker, Canada Geese, Great Blue Heron
Critters: Mule Deer

Gear: Lumix GX-85, 100-300 mm
