No Herons Were Harmed in the Making of this Post
Great Blue Herons were not the only types of birds that I managed to photograph this first day of November. But their images came out the best. The featured image and the one at the bottom of this post are the same bird. The one in flight pictured here might be the same one as well but I can’t be sure since they don’t wear name tags. There were three Belted Kingfishers flying up and down the river either playing tag or arguing over territory that I got a few images of but nothing really close enough (or in focus enough) to post. I also captured one of the juvenile Ospreys who simply refuses to head to the southern states and a Red-tailed Hawk who, I’m sure, wishes all Ospreys would exit the scene.
