Environment:

Sticking with the afternoon walks is paying off. I spotted another owl (Great Horned) who managed to sleep its way into the featured image spot up top. I heard two other owls in different sections of the park but was not able to track them down. Since the Autumn leaves are really pretty much shot I did not bring my wide angle camera on today’s walk. Which is why there was a really great sunset. I did the best I could with my phone which really didn’t do the scene justice. Result at the bottom of the post.
Sightings:
Birds: Mallards, Canada Geese, Gulls, Starlings, White-crowned Sparrows, Great Blue Herons, Great Horned Owl, Blue Jay, Hairy Woodpecker, Northern Flicker
Critters: Mule Deer, Tree Squirrel
