More great weather and just a tad warmer to boot this morning. Still rather low activity in the wildlife department I’m afraid. Today’s featured image is what I am identifying as a Downy Woodpecker – based on size. This dude would not look away from his work so the shot is not the best. Mid-post I have two shots of the same male Belted Kingfisher – one taking aim and the other executing a dive (which was not completed). The Blue Jays were very busy and very loud this morning but not accessible. Capping off the post is a Western Terrestrial Garter Snake that I caught mid-trail – we were both surprised to see each other.
