Environment:
Start Time: 8:30 AM Temperature: 50 degrees Sky: Total sunshine.
The Sunshine Express continues with another cloudless morning. I wish the great climate would entice more birds out into the sunlight. Today’s featured image is a Great Blue Heron perching over the Arkansas River in the changing Cottonwood leaves. It seemed upset that I had seen it and left shortly after I took this shot. Pictured here is a Northern Flicker that I caught peeping out of a hole in a dead tree. Not sure what was going on – maybe caching food for the colder months or possibly looking for those lost keys.
