Environment:
Start Time: 3:50 PM Temperature: 68 degrees Sky: Sunny with light breeze.

Back out for a late afternoon stroll through the still brilliant Autumn leaves. I cut things a little short due to a lack of action and the fact that it was a little warm for the way I was dressed – I was getting hot! But I did get a couple of decent captures. For the gallery image (below) I offer the Great Blue Heron that seems to like this one particular spot on the Arkansas River – I’ve found it there around four or five times (like last night). The top spot goes to a Great Horned Owl who may or may not be the same one I shot last night – this owl was not talking and seemed more interested in catching some winks.

Sightings:
Birds: Mallards, European Starlings, Ring-billed Gulls, Killdeer, Great Blue Heron, Northern Flickers, Great Horned Owl
Critters: Grasshoppers, Mule Deer, Prairie Dogs, Tree Squirrels, Moth

Gear: Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II, Panasonic Lumix 100-300mm
