Great weather doesn’t always make for great bird photography. Fortunately I brought along a spare camera for wide angle shots and so managed to snap some early Autumn scenes while trying to find cooperative birds. As you can see, the Cottonwoods are just getting started while some of the other trees are in full color.
Sightings:
Birds: Mallards, Canada Geese, Sparrows, Double Crested Cormorants, Starlings, Northern Flickers, Great Blue Herons, Belted Kingfishers
Critters: Mule Deer, Cabbage White Butterflies, Prairie Dogs, other flying bugs
