The Great Blue Heron pictured here (and everywhere else on the post) is the only bird that I even got close to this morning. I’m so happy it was on my side of the river and felt like getting its picture on the Internet. I saw no Cormorants, Ospreys or Red-tailed Hawks. I did get a brief glance at a passing Cooper’s Hawk and I saw some American Kestrels way up in a tree as I drove home. Happily, the Heron shots are pretty decent so I guess the trip was worthwhile.
