A surprisingly warm morning out on the trail today. That turned out to be a good thing because had it been cooler the pesky breeze that raised its head would have made things unbearable. Still not so much bird action to be had. The Cooper’s Hawk pictured here was actually shot yesterday evening out at the Pueblo Wildlife and Discovery Center where I had gone to try for an Owl or two. I guess the hawk scared them off. Today’s featured image needs no introduction – I got it on land and in the water (below). Also below is a Rig-billed Gull that I shot just in case I needed something to post. I did.
