Today’s outing was a series of One-Offs. The pictures of the Owls that start and finish this post are the same owl. It just kept changing location, making me tramp through the weeds after it. The results were worth it in my opinion. That juvenile Osprey is still hanging around though mostly perching high over the Arkansas River as pictured here. Kids today just don’t listen to their parents when told it is time to leave. My other single sighting was the Great Blue Heron pictured below. I first thought it was carrying a stick but then realized that the stick was actually one of its legs dangling at a strange angle. I have to say that its wings look a little beat up as well but I guess we will never know the story.
