Environment:
Start Time: 7:05 AM Temperature: 45 degrees Sky: Dense fog that eventually cleared.
Bright sunshine was all around me when I left home but I arrived to a fog shrouded gloomy scene at Lake Pueblo State Park as demonstrated by today’s featured image. It was dark. I probably would have turned around and headed home if I hadn’t been accompanied by my four-legged visitor who really wanted to go for a walk. It turns out she made the right choice. It took a while but the Sun managed to burn off most of the fog and a few birds came out to play. Most notably is the Red-tailed Hawk pictured here. It was sitting out openly on a high branch probably feeling comfortable because of the scarcity of Ospreys in the area. Today I only saw one Osprey. I was also happy to see a large group of Red-winged Blackbirds back along the Arkansas River. Not sure where they have been lately.
