Red-tailed Hawk at Lake Pueblo State Park, Colorado

Much quieter morning today. The only Osprey that I saw was silent and the Blue jays were both much quieter and completely out of sight. Not a lot going on. One Red-tailed Hawk (I believe) tried to sneak into a tree after I had walked past but I caught a glimpse out of the corner of my eye and turned back to capture the two images posted here. The featured image (above) is of the hawk abandoning his perch and heading for parts unknown. I caught a mama Mule Deer and her (rather mature) fawn grazing in some decent morning light and a White-breasted Nuthatch took pity on me and stood still for a very short while.
