Yet another bit of history for your enjoyment. As you can see – November can be a tough month. Environment:Start Time: 9:25 AM Temperature: 44 degrees Sky: Cloud filtered sunshine. Walking conditions were much better this morning but birding conditions remain disappointing. I think yesterday’s wind blew away all the little birds. The bigger birds were keeping their distance today. The image posted below is an example of the kind of distance I’m talking about. Environment:Start Time: 9:10 AM Temperature: 48 degrees Sky: Sunshine with little breeze. Eagle! Eagle! I could not resist heading out for a morning walk when I saw that the air temperature was well into the forties and the sky was mostly clear. When I got out on the trail I was surprised at the low number of fishermen out on the Arkansas River. With today being “Super Bowl Sunday” I figured all the fishermen in town would be out trying to catch their limit before the big game kick-off. Speaking of low numbers, the apparent bird population was unbelievably low….
