Environment:Start Time: 7:55 AM Temperature: 32 degrees Sky: Sunshine. A truly beautiful morning greeted me as I arrived at my normal parking spot by the Anticline Fishing Pond. The freezing temperature was nicely mitigated by the radiant heat from the Sun. Most of the birding action was to be had in or around bodies of water. Environment:Start Time: 9:00 AM Temperature: 34 degrees Sky: Sunshine. Very crisp yet comfortable morning along the Arkansas River. Apparently it was a little too crisp for a lot of birds since not many were out appreciating the climate. Today I can honestly tell you that the featured image of a pair of Hooded Mergansers floating on the fishing pond is the best picture of the day.
