Time for a look back at what was happening one year ago today. Mostly the usual suspects with the exception of the toad. I am constantly amazed at how few reptiles I run across out on the trails. In eleven years of shooting I think I have only seen five or six snakes and one of those was dead. I’m sure many more snakes have seen me. The Owl Tree bore no feathery fruit this morning but I still managed to come home with something on my memory card. Today’s feature d image, which is the best shot of the day, is a Mule Deer doe posing perfectly in the low morning sunshine. I caught her in a peaceful moment before she saw me and lost her train of thought. Also pictured here enjoying the morning sunshine are an Orb spider dining Al Fresco and an American Goldfinch. I also managed to shoot an Osprey…
