Environment:Start Time: 10:25 AM Temperature: 58 degrees Sky: Mix of Sun and clouds, light breeze Spring-like weather is persisting and will so for most of the week ahead. Local weather forecasters are promising us a snowy Saturday. Not at all unusual weather for March in Southeastern Colorado. Birds are still playing hard to get but activity is picking up. Environment:Start Time: 1:50 PM Temperature: 41 degrees Sky: Sunny, clear, light breeze After a long three day pause the weather finally seemed inviting enough to take a turn at Lake Pueblo State Park. Despite the (I hope) seasonal scarcity of birds I had a couple strokes of good luck capturing birds in flight. The luck can be largely credited to my choice of the Nikon D5100 for the camera du jour. Environment:Start Time: 1:10 PM Temperature: 42 degrees Sky: Sunny, clear, light breeze What was supposed to be cold snowy day turned out to be a spectacular day for a walk and some casual birding. Though the birds were not totally on board with this feeling I did manage to get a few shots in. I had a real good shot at a distant Cooper’s Hawk but came up with a fuzzy mess.
