Today’s walk at Lake Pueblo State Park was as bountiful as it was beautiful. Lots of birds and critters were out enjoying a fabulous morning. There were a bunch of mostly cooperative smaller birds that I’ve posted in the bottom gallery of this post. One, the Lincoln’s Sparrow is a new bird for me and I guess the American Goldfinch is a female. I got another White-crowned Sparrow and a Red-winged Blackbird was snacking nearby….

Not only that – a few birds decided to make their presence known. Some were a little too far away and some were fidgety as can be but I did manage to make it home with a little usable product. The Red-winged Blackbirds were today’s activity stars. Once again they were paying much attention to the sagging Wild Sunflower ex-blossoms.
