Slightly less sunshine and way fewer birds than yesterday but still a very pleasant outing this morning. I heard but did not see Blue Jays so I know they are still around. Environment:Start Time: 3:05 PM Temperature: 51 degrees Sky: Sunny, no clouds, light breeze Finally suitable weather has returned. It took until late afternoon for the sun and temperature to team up to make for decent walking. Not much going on bird-wise. The fishing pond was frozen over which means my Western Grebe buddy has probably headed South. There were a couple of Starlings still hanging around but they really looked beat up. Environment:Start Time: 2:10 PM Temperature: 48 degrees Sky: Sunny, no clouds, no breeze The day started in a shroud of fog and a good layer of frost. I Finally made it out to Lake Pueblo State Park in the mid-afternoon when the conditions were much improved. This time of year the Sun angle in the afternoon is still low enough to allow for decent photo opportunities. Once again, the bird population did not take advantage of this useful light.
