The Red-winged Blackbirds were today’s activity stars. Once again they were paying much attention to the sagging Wild Sunflower ex-blossoms. With the addition of some light high clouds the sunlight was a bit on the fuzzy side. Still a good day for a walk if you didn’t do a lot of breathing. My avian friends continued playing hard to get. I still managed to come away with some captures. Pleasant conditions prevail though the wildfire haze is starting to creep back into the scene. Very little bird action to record. I caught one little Rock Squirrel exploring the erosion control rocks along the bank of the Arkansas River. I did shoot another Wild Sunflower but I won’t subject you to that.
