It’s starting to get a little chilly in the mornings at Lake Pueblo State Park. I haven’t yet had to resort to wearing my mittens. So far there aren’t many of the Winter birds showing up. There were quite a few White-crowned Sparrows – one pictured here. There is still one juvenile Osprey (featured) hanging around and it seems to have gotten quite skilled at plucking fish from the Arkansas River. One other Fish Plucker was pretty busy this morning – the Belted Kingfisher posted at the bottom of this entry.
