So far this year I haven’t had any luck catching an Osprey in the act of catching a meal. I’ve seen them flying by with fish in hand and I’ve seen them perched in a tree eating a fish. Today they were mostly just sitting around. Pictured here is one getting as far above the nest as is possible without taking flight. I guess the view is better there. Featured today is what I believe to be, a female Cooper’s Hawk. She, too, was sitting a little distant from her nest just enjoying the calm morning. Mother Owl was also sitting near her nest allowing her hatchlings free room to do whatever it is that baby owls do. So I guess that concludes today’s Nest Report.
