Environment:
Start Time: 9:45 AM Temperature: 62 degrees Sky: Sunshine filtered by high clouds, light breeze
Temp this morning was a bit warmer so I got out to my normal walking area on the North bank of the Arkansas River mid-morning. Very high and somewhat heavy clouds really dampened what sunshine actually made it through. If that wasn’t disappointing enough the birds were just not real active. Those that were out had better things to do than pose for me. One highlight came near the end of my tour as a couple of Osprey started hunting for a meal at the Anticline Fishing Pond. One of them made a successful strike and flew off with his new friend – all this action well out of my reach. Once again I am forced to dig back into my photo archive and present a combination Autumn scenic and wildlife image of a Great Horned Owl shot October 20, 2017.
