Environment:
Start Time: 7:30 AM Temperature: 57 degrees Sky: Sunshine and clouds with a light breeze
The Sun finally decided to rise above the clouds in the East allowing me to make it out to my normal haunt a little earlier than usual. My hopes of catching “Early Birds” devouring worms were crushed because very few birds were taking advantage of the sunshine. Once again only a few Mallards and a couple of Blue-winged Teals were willing to step into the Arkansas River. I did see some Wood Ducks but they were sitting in a tree. What geese I saw were standing in a group staring at the river. I came home with only a single post-able frame – today’s featured image – a Western Kingbird.
