Really spotty cloud cover this morning provided unpredictable lighting for photography but very pleasant temperatures for walking. But I am not complaining since I came home with quite a few keepers on my camera’s memory card. First thing after I arrived was the discovery that there is at least one hatchling in the Barn Swallow nest by the fishing pond. Neither mom nor dad were around so I snuck in for a quick shot. At least two Osprey were actively fishing on the Arkansas River and I managed to get pretty close to one strike. Posted here is one of the proud fisherbirds making off with its prize. Today’s featured image is a group of Canada Geese enjoying the Arkansas River in the cool morning air. Posted below is a collection of birds who all favored me with nice poses in pretty good light.
