Environment:

Autumn’s crisp air very much present this morning at Lake Pueblo State Park. I don’t know if that was keeping all the birds snuggled in their beds but they were generally missing in action on the trail and in the air. So today’s featured image goes to a perched Osprey – the bird I got closest to today. Below is a rather disappointing image of two Blue Jays whom I caught scampering through the trees right at the end of my walk. I’m hoping that the migrating birds start showing up as they pass through Colorado. Chief among those are the Egrets and Western Grebes. It is also getting time for the Eagles to start setting up shop here for the Winter. Hope springs eternal.

Birds: Mallards, Osprey, Double Crested Cormorants, Canada Geese, Starlings, Common Grackle, Killdeer, Belted Kingfisher, Mourning Doves, Red-tailed Hawk, Northern Flicker, Gulls, Red-winged Blackbird
Critters: Prairie Dogs, Woodlouse, Tree Squirrel, Mule Deer
