Check out last year’s walk on this day HERE.

Canada Geese at Lake Pueblo State Park, Colorado

Cool starting temperatures gave way to enough radiant heating to make me regret wearing a heavy sweatshirt by the end of today’s walk. Still pretty nice conditions for late November. Bird photography turned out to be just OK with most birds seen only in flight and pretty far away. I was surprised to catch a couple of House Finches (posted below) checking things out. I had to take their pictures since they were standing pretty still and had graciously perched in great light. The only other passive birds were the group of Canada Geese who were snoozing on the South bank of the Arkansas River. Today’s featured image (above) is another one of my favorite subjects – the trees on the West bank of the Anticline Fishing Pond. I arrived as the Moon was setting and made for a pretty shot. This image also shows the state of the Autumn Color at LPSP (crappy).
