Environment:
Start Time: 2:40 PM Temperature: 41 degrees Sky: Sunshine and puffy clouds and breeze
Good weather persists. It was a little cooler than it was yesterday but still pleasant. Tuesday’s snow is nearly gone and the mud is well under control. Sadly, no Eagles today but my new American White Pelican friend was still present and more active than it was yesterday. I caught it strolling on the other side of the river. Below is a Pied-billed Grebe who was also enjoying all that the Arkansas River has to offer – the cloud reflections were very interesting so I snapped what I hoped would be an “Arty” shot. The bottom photo is a Dark-eyed Junco which Google tells me is of the Pink-sided variety. The afore mentioned clouds lead me to bring along my infrared camera and I put it to good use shooting today’s featured image – a nice Winter scene of the Arkansas River with Liberty Point visible in the background.
