Cooler temps kept me indoors a little longer this morning arriving at the standard walk location around 7:45. A rather stiff breeze made the 52 degree temperature seem rather chilly. One thing about a good wind is it tends to bring out the hawks who like to glide in the currents rising from the bluffs surrounding the Rock Creek Canyon area. No such luck today, unfortunately. The only hawk-like bird I saw was an Osprey hovering over the Arkansas River quite a bit upstream from where I saw him. I hope he got a tasty breakfast.

So in the end I ended up without a single new image. In the old days when, I shot film, I would have said that I didn’t even burn a frame. I guess now that I mostly shoot digital I’d have to say I didn’t even flip a digit. Maybe that will catch on. The image below was shot May 09, 2012.
