Osprey at Lake Pueblo State Park, Colorado

I know that I said yesterday was pretty quiet. Well compared to this morning yesterday was pure chaos. I’m not kidding – when I started out the only sound I heard was a couple of crickets. Fortunately I managed to pull off a couple of decent shots. Today’s featured image is a Great Horned Owl who was on what I can only call its favorite perch. Luckily the Sun had popped out for a second making it possible to get a good focus on this sleepy owl. I did also manage to get a new bird for my personal list – a Least Sandpiper pictured below. And the Osprey and Cormorants were available for some filler shots.

Sightings:
Birds: Mallards, Osprey, European Starlings, Double Crested Cormorants, Least Sandpiper, Killdeer, Great Horned Owl, Red-winged Blackbirds, Canada Geese, Gulls, Red-tailed Hawk, Cooper’s Hawk
Critters: Prairie Dog, Monarch Butterfly

Gear: Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II, Panasonic Lumix 100-300mm
