Environment:
Start Time: 5:00 PM Temperature: 54 degrees Sky: Sunshine and light breeze.
I decided to skip the rather cool morning and opted, instead, for a late afternoon walk – more of a mosey, actually. I was hoping to spot an Owl and, surprisingly, I succeeded as shown at the bottom of this post. There was some nesting going on – I saw an Osprey checking out one of the State sponsored nesting poles and I captured a European Starling trying out a cavity in a cottonwood tree – also State sponsored. Today’s featured image is a Townsend’s Solitaire who was on the hunt for dinner. S/He made several quick trips to the ground and back again – I could not determine if the trips were successful.
